Military Football Helmets - In a continuing tradition for the Army-Navy game, both football teams wear special uniforms and helmets to honor segments of their military branches. West Point unveiled this year's kit at Monday's casual luncheon in the cadet mess hall.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Air Demonstration Squadron inspired the uniforms for the 2017 Annapolis Rivalry Game. The squadron consists of five Navy demonstration pilots and one Marine Corps pilot and travels the country by performing aerobatics in tight formations.

WEST POINT — In the anniversary year of recognizing the Army's response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Army Football Team chose to honor U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers who began the war against the Taliban in mid-October 2001.
